Golden Acres Christian School encourages homeschooling families to consider active involvement in a support group. Support groups allow families to participate in additional group activities or field trips. The Phenix City area is blessed with several options.

An Option for Homeschooling Families

 
Thank you for your interest in Golden Acres Christian School. This new, unique ministry is available to all Alabama families regardless of church affiliation. Our school provides:

If you decide to apply with our school you may requst an application packet by email at suzannesheppard@bellsouth.net. Please complete the registration page, student record release and disclaimer. Submit these pages along with the $10 application fee. Please make checks payable to Golden Acres Christian School. Applications may be made through the mail or by setting up an appointment with the school administrator.

Appointments for enrollment may be made for Monday afternoons. Please email to set up your appointment time.

Please allow 5-7 business days to process your application. Notification of acceptance may be done over the phone, by mail or via email.

Sports:

Athletic enrollment is available to homeschooling students in Alabama and Georgia between the ages of 12-18. Enrollment for academics and athletics are filed separately. For more information about our homeschool sports program, please go to www.sports.freedomhomeschoolers.com

Transcripts

Transcripts are available for high school students. Transcripts will be constructed from the progress reports provided by the parent. Copies of the student transcript are available for $10. Please allow 5-7 business days to process your request.

Annual Parent Meeting

Thursday, September 4th 7:00 pm EST    at Golden Acres

3405 S. Railroad St.
Phenix City, AL
 
This is a required meetig for all enrolled families. Pease make plans to attend. There will be no childcare provided at this meeting and it is for parents only. Please make other arrangements for your children. At least one parent from each family must be present. If you do not attend, we will have to dis-enroll your students from our school and notify the superintendent's office that you are no longer in compliance with our school's requirements.
If you cannot attend, you must have approval from the school administrator at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.

Tuition and Reports

Registration for new families is $10. This is a one time only fee and is in addition to tuition.

Annual Tuition is $30 per family. Make checks payable to Golden Acres Christian School.

Attendance Forms must be completed for each child. Forms are included in the Registration Packet and must be turned in twice a year. You may print out your attendace forms by clicking on the link above.

Progress Reports must be completed for each child. Forms for Elementary and High School students are included in the Registration Packet. Reports are due twice a year. Click on the links above  and print out the forms you need.
